Getting ready for future growth

Since 1883, Hultafors has been leading hand tools brand. And over the years more and more brands have become part of the group. Snickers Workwear, Kansas, Solid Gear, Fristads and Hellberg Safety just to name a few. 

With 16 brands and more to come, Hultafors Group has focused on streamlining the structure across all brands and needed a new technical landscape suitable for onboarding new brands - An efficient, smart, and scalable web solution.

Let's get slightly more technical

Defining the technical foundation

The goal was to create a coheisent digital identity across all brands. Hultafors Group was slowly migrating to a more modern set up with a headless CMS. And as we became part of the project, we also started modernized the frontend as well and transforming the into a more holistic technical set up.  

There was no need for a complete rework of everything. It simply makes no sense to throw everything out every two years. Therefore we're working with the existing PIM solution and CMS solution, but modernizing the things that need to be updated. 

In this way the project consists of both maintenance and upkeep work, as well as doing new development in different ways. 

Future-proofing the digital setup 

We took an approach where we built this solution in a modern and very high technological cutting edge way, but without danger, risk or anything.  

The previous technical solution started from the same base but was presented in completely separately developed websites. 

Now Hultafors group have a big catalogue of brand websites, but they're on the same technical foundation, meaning we can develop a specific feature that will hit everywhere at once. Simple and efficient.
